Because this was a Microsoft announcement, I’m curious as to how it will impact our current Open AI chat version and access. So far, I’ve not found a reference directly to that. I found more than one reference as to March 14 being the anticipated Microsoft launch date for ChatGPT-4, though.

Absolutely! GPT4 is a product of its own that OpenAI (and Microsoft) will certainly want to monetize. In fact, I was just mentioning that elsewhere - Watch out for Content limit using Splitter - #2 by Ammon
I will just add that I did pay for the ChatGPT Plus. Benefits were touted as “such as priority access during peak times, faster response times, and early access to new features and upgrades.”
