Variable and/or Drop-Down List (AIPRM paid user | My GPTs)

Should have understood how Variable and Drop-Down variables list works (as AIPRM user | Public or Private Prompts). Thanks a lot for the awesome feature!!!

Was kinda wondering if there is anything similar for GPTs / MyGPTs / Custom GPTs (apologies since i never remember how those are called).

Would be nice to tweak some of my “My GPTs” (that have custom instructions / functionalities / actions …) especially with dropdowns…

Can i do this?

Thank you for your kind words!

Yes, you can use prompt variables and dropdowns similarly with your own custom GPTs.

Tibor,
thanks for your quick reply.

Maybe i was not clear enough.
What i meant was to create dropdowns when i create MyGpts.

if you look at the image above: i click on my UID icon and click on MyGPTs then “Create a GPT”.

in this other image you can see the same prompt:

  • (on the left) under MyGPT
  • (on the right) under AIPRM
    the prompt is the same but, under AIPRM, variables are visible while under MyGPT variables are not visible…

Hope it’s more clear now…

I see - no, that’s currently not possible. However, you can combine your custom GPT (as an assistant) with custom prompts specifically designed for this custom GPT (tasks, workflows) to achieve this.

@aiprm-tiborb
Tibor,
thanks a lot…

maybe… thinking out loud…
in my Custom GPT i can upload a document with those variables (and all options) and, in the instructions, i can tell Chat GPT to ask users X “questions” per X variables.
All Q&A done before the main instructions to be run by Custom GPT.
Custom GPT will answer with all options selected by user. If user confirms then will run “main” instructions.

…something like this, maybe, could work…

cheers…

@aiprm-tiborb
Tibor,
when you say: “no, that’s currently not possible” guess it’s not possible unless you have program skills… (given it works on AIPRM platform)…

You can always share your ideas in our Feature Requests section. That way, others can vote and comment, helping us shape future updates.

@aiprm-tiborb
didn’t understand last comment.

is it a “premade” comment to share the “Feature Requests” section?

My questions were to understand if can use Variables on Chat GPT without AIPRM. Was not intended to add extra feature to AIPRM.

Sorry for any confusion - my previous comment was a general suggestion about our “Feature Requests” section, not a pre-made reply. Variables in prompts are a specific feature available only with AIPRM. Without using AIPRM, ChatGPT alone doesn’t support this functionality.
