I would believe once they have they actual extension you would need to remove the temp fix and install the extension AIPRM for ChatGPT - Chrome Web Store

AIPRM UI is currently broken due to the ChatGPT Update on August 16, 2023.
We have submitted a fix in AIPRM for ChatGPT v1.1.8.16 to Google and Microsoft for review.
The Chat GTP is still not working.
The real issue is, I cannot use my chatgpt at all because your pop-up, as usual, is at the top and it wonât go awayâŚSo I canât get to the plugins page to remove the plug-in temporarilyâŚThus not being able to use it. The X-out feature really should be standard, cause this is very annoying.
Furthermore, I canât access any of my chats.

With this manul installation, all seems to be working. Although I donât live in the AI world of digital clocks and touch tone dialing. I can read an analog clock and use a rotary phone. For everyone else, I hope the Terminator makes your day!
